The cricket "protector" has been re-developed over the last few years, particularly with the introduction of the innovative shock doctor range.

The technology in the Shock Doctor abdominal guards means less discomfort when the worst happens. From the softer Gel used in the perimeter on all models, through to the carbon facing on the Ultra Carbon model and the all around design and comfort of the Core Supporter with the Bioflex Cup, Shock Doctor abdominal guards are designed to provide a high level of protection to a rather sensitive area.

Gray-Nicolls and Kookaburra have also developed more advanced and comfortable protectors than the basic range of protectors we have been used to.
