Fun Backyard Cricket Challenges
Sticky Wicky games are about more than just getting outside — they offer an opportunity to practise coordination, accuracy and catching while enjoying a bit of friendly competition.
The accuracy challenge: Set a throwing line and see how many times each player can hit the target. Move further back to make the challenge harder.
The catching competition: Take turns throwing towards the sticky catching zone and count how many successful catches each player can make.
The family tournament: Create a simple points system for accurate throws, successful catches and target hits. Play several rounds and crown your backyard cricket champion.
The distance challenge: Start close to the target and gradually move back as players improve. Keep score over a set number of attempts to find the most accurate thrower.
Adjust the difficulty to suit the players and always leave enough room to play safely.
